I’ve loved reading, writing, and
arithmetic editing for as long as I can remember. I was always that person who would edit her friends’ essays, social media posts, and text messages whether or not they wanted her to.
I graduated from the Universtiy of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Creative Writing. I currently work part-time as a writing tutor and freelance editor.
When I was a little girl, I was constantly scribbling down stories, and I aspired to be an author when I grew up. In college, I decided to major in English. Even though I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life at the time, I never regretted studying what I love for a second.
During my time studying English, I became a member of the Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society in 2014. I was the managing editor of the university’s literary arts publication, and I even had a few original pieces published in the journal as well. During my last two years in college, I tutored my peers in English and writing at the university’s Writing Center.
Since 2016, I have worked as an ATP-certified writing tutor at a local community college Writing Center. I help students plan, draft, and revise their composition and literature essays, as well as reinforce basic grammar and writing skills.
I am also a freelance editor loosely associated with The Next Chapter Publishing house in Dallas, Texas. I assist my clients in making their document or short fiction manuscript the very best that it can be. I work with anyone who has a piece of writing that they would like to have edited, whether or not they plan to self-publish. If you have a project that you’d like to have edited, don’t hesitate to send me an email and let’s talk about how I can help.
