Proofreading is usually the final step in the editing process. For an essay or blog post, this means that the writer has already edited their work for major issues concerning the thesis, main idea, introduction/conclusion, organization, and use of resources. Proofreaders are primarily responsible for finding errors, both big and small.
While proofreading, I check for:
- Word choice & usage
- Sentence structure
- Overall consistency
- Style (MLA & APA)
Note: Please send me your work as an unprotected Microsoft Word document (only MS Word documents will be accepted). I show all edits in the Microsoft Word Track Changes feature.
